Fleur Hobson – Director and Solicitor
Fleur is the Director of Susie Mills Law 2019 Limited with experience in all areas of legal private practice, focusing on trusts, estates, asset protection and relationship property matters. She also advises and assists clients with residential conveyancing transactions, wills, enduring powers of attorney and Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 applications. Fleur works hard to ensure her clients receive high quality legal advice to suit their individual circumstances.
A bit more about Fleur
Born in Auckland and raised in Canada, Fleur completed a BA (Hons) at Queens University in Ontario and her LLB at Victoria University in Wellington. After graduating from Victoria, Fleur worked in a large commercial law firm before settling in Kapiti with her husband and their four boys. Fleur believes her experience and training gained while working in a commercial setting has provided her with a good foundation, which she is now able to apply on a more personal level in the Kapiti region.
Fleur loves skiing with her family and still manages to play the odd soccer game. She also enjoys travelling throughout New Zealand and abroad.
Susie Mills – Consultant Solicitor
Susie assists businesses, not-for-profits and private clients, and she also has expertise in the Public Works Act, subdivisions, easements and land covenants.
Susie also assists charities and other not-for-profit organisations with a wide range of legal matters. Approachable and friendly, Susie always focuses on providing practical solutions for her clients.
A bit more about Susie
Born in Wellington, Susie has been based in Waikanae for over 20 years. She studied law at Victoria University and completed her counselling training in the 1990s.
She has a keen interest in glass art and is also passionate about conservation. Susie is a volunteer with the Waikanae Volunteer Fire Brigade and a trustee of both the Kapiti AED Trust and the Assam Medical Trust.
Freya Marchant – Solicitor
Freya is the newest addition to the team. She brings with her close to 5 years experience in general private practice and specialises in residential conveyancing, wills, enduring powers of attorney, trusts and estates.

Freya grew up in Wellington and completed a BA and LLB at Victoria University. Freya comes from a large, close-knit family who predominantly all live in Kapiti. She and her husband enjoy tramping, live shows, travelling and spending time with friends and family.
Emma Foster-Smith — Registered Legal Executive and Office Manager
Emma is a qualified legal executive in the property team at Susie Mills Law 2019.
A member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives, she specialises in conveyancing and subdivision work, bringing to the team over five years of legal experience. Previously, Emma worked for 12 years in the banking industry.

Emma enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as socialising with friends. When not with her family, she enjoys walking and mountain bike riding. She is also a firefighter in the Waikanae Volunteer Fire Brigade and a trustee of the Kapiti AED Trust.
Janine Reynolds — Trust Account Manager
Janine is our trust account manager. She also plays a key role in our property team, assisting with conveyancing, refinancing and estate administration.
Janine has extensive experience of working in law firms, having been employed by her father’s law firm for more than 10 years. Her expertise lies in a range of areas, particularly residential property, wills and estates.

Janine lives in Kapiti with her family. When not working, she can usually be found in her garden or enjoying the outdoors.
Corese Bills – Legal Secretary
Corese joined our team at the beginning of 2020 and has a background in Real Estate and Banking. Corese supports our legal staff with various matters and always strives to provide a high level of service to all of our clients.

Corese loves living on the Kapiti Coast and enjoys the beach lifestyle, bike riding, yoga and having fun with family and friends.
Megan Burrell – Legal Secretary
Megan joined our team in 2019 having previously worked at the Wellington High Court. Megan has over 28 years’ experience in the legal sector. Megan focuses on the processing of Estates.
